Pregnant women have to endure a multitude of afflictions and problems in the 9 months they are pregnant. Back pain is a very common complaint for pregnant women; mainly because as the muscles relax in pregnancy due to the high hormone levels; it makes it easier to hurt or strain your back. Then there is also the sheer weight of the baby on the body making pregnant women sometimes lean forward.

Urinary infections can also be common in pregnant women and these too can cause lower back pains; all back pain in pregnancy should be looked at just in case it leads to other complications.

There are not many pain killers if any that pregnant women can take so only natural methods are available to them. Posture is extremely important and if you’re suffering from back pain, you need to start doing some simple and effective exercises very gently.

If you are prescribed any treatments or medications; always follow the guidelines to the letter. It is extremely important not only for you but also for your baby. Never take more pills than you are supposed to and never exercise for longer or more intensively than what you are told to. There are reasons why things are limited in pregnancy and they must be adhered to at all times.

Remain as active as you can so your muscles stay strong during pregnancy and not only will this help in labor but it will also help in getting back into shape after the baby’s arrival.
